8x10 Chobi Flower Maroon Border and Ivory Ghazni Wool
Chobi designs are the most versatile in in our collection
They are meant to decorate and fill the space of your house in a very subtle way.
They make up our Transitional collection for their muted colour tones. Texture wise they’re rougher and sturdy side (due to high-mountain land Ghazni wool).
Although they have been around for two and a half centuries, it’s only been within the past 25 years that these rugs have become popular due to their gentle tones and softer patterns derived from old Persian and Ziegler designs.
The weavers introduced a new technique using chrome and natural dyes on hand-spun Ghazni wool. These rugs typically have a golden hue with a rustic or weathered feel to them.
In terms of care, a simple vacuum once a week horizontally (the way it was woven) keeps the rug in good condition. Stains are removed with ease as with a good quality wool area rug. Hand washing (every 3-5 years) is recommended.
In general, Chobi can handle all the rough-housing you attempt because of it’s high- mountain sourced wool . Ghazni wool comes from the Ghazni mountain range, located west of Kabul, Afghanistan bordering Iran. It is handspun, very fine, and offers unparalleled quality that will last 30 plus years and more.
Be warned, these rugs can allure you at first sight.
