The art of weaving in India can be traced back to the 16th century when it was introduced during time of the Persian Empire, under Mughal Rule.
By the end of this period, the rug weaving industry began to truly flourish as northern India had developed a real talent for weaving rugs.
Today, the carpet belt is located in the state of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, India. They match their Persian contemporaries in knot-for-knot quality, but surpass them in colour, design, style and size selection.
These classic designs are mix Australian wool and pure Silk from India. They're using contemporary colours and are delicate in design.
