When I mention cowhide rugs, what kind of home setting comes to mind?
I think the traditional idea is of a cabin in the woods. But more cowhide rugs have become a popular choice in modern decorating. They seem to fit equally well in casual cottages and modern loft apartments.
You can find solid varieties to give you that stark contrast in a room. You can find classic black and white patterns with spots, or multi-colored natural hides. There is also natural hides straight from the cow - these ones are naturally skid resistant. Now of course they aren't bred and raised only for rug use, but as a secondary product.
