Alain de Botton’s Quest for The Perfect Home

Posted on May 02, 2012.

This is slightly different than the usual posts on the Indo blog.

Alain de Botton is a Swiss writer and philosopher who contends we don't live in the modern world. Botton contends though we desire for modern electronics, cars, we live in architecture that is from the past - Victorian style homes, Greek Revival buildings, etc. This leads him to traveling the world in search of buildings designed with modern sensibilities. Worth a watch!

This documentary, The Perfect Home, grows from his best-selling book in 2006 - The Architecture of Happiness.

Episode one: part one, part two, part three, part four
